Identification Guide for Dies of One Cent design U96

The following is based on the work of the United Postal Stationery Society.
There are three dies for the one cent value of design  U96. They are:

die 1	(1) numeral 1 thick and short (approximately 31/2 mm).
die 2	(1) numeral 1 thin and tall (approximately 41/2 mm); (2) upper and middle bars of "E" of ONE long and approximately 1 mm from circle.
die 3	(1) numeral 1 thin and tall (approximately 41/2 mm); (2) upper and middle bars of "E" of ONE short and approximately 11/2 mm from circle.
